I want to buy a Liberator shape. What size should I get?
Several of the Liberator shapes come in several sizes to comfortably accommodate different body sizes.
Height:
Several shapes come in tall, average, and short sizes.
If you are both under 5'9" tall, go with the short size.
If the taller spouse is 6'4" or taller, go with the tall size.
If he (or she) is between those two heights, consider the average size.
Alternately, you can use the taller person's inseam measurement as a more accurate guideline:
Measure the distance from the groin to the heel.
If the inseam is 28-32 inches, consider the short size.
If the inseam is 33-36 inches, consider the average size.
If the inseam is 38-39 or above, consider the tall size
Width:
Let's face it, some of us are wider than others! Width is more important than weight, so get out a tape measure and check. If you're 24 inches or less, go with the average width. If you're wider than that, consider the plus-size shape. But keep in mind that wider shapes are harder to straddle, so think about what positions you'd like to use the shape for. If you're close to the 24" cutoff, and expect to be straddling the shape a lot, the smaller width might still be the best choice.
Some of the bigger shapes come in a number of sizes to accommodate your current furniture and space needs. Treat those size choices just like you would any other piece of furniture!
Expert tip:
When you get your shape, put on comfortable clothes and try out the positions you want to use it for. If the size is wrong, you can easily return it, and just be out the cost of postage. Email

How do I use this toy?
Clitoral vibes are small vibrators that can fit just about anywhere. While they are designed to be held against the clitoris, you can move them around to anywhere that needs a little extra stimulation - your breasts, your vulva, and his genitals will all love the extra vibration! Most clitoral vibrators are also small enough to be held in place during intercourse, allowing you both to passionately enjoy each other. Most clitoral toys are not designed to be inserted in the vagina.
Ring vibes are small vibrators mounted on a stretchy ring designed to fit around your husband's penis. Soft vibrations are transmitted up the length of his penis, and the vibrator provides extra clitoral stimulation during intercourse whenever your bodies are pressed together. Some husbands also love positioning the vibrator so that it stimulates their balls - some ring vibes even have an extra vibrator to do this! You can also hold the ring vibe in your hand and use it like a clitoral vibrator.
Traditional vibes and dildos are long straight toys designed for vaginal insertion. They are a wonderful option for times when your husband's penis isn't available, either because he's away on a business trip or deployment, or because he is exhausted when you are still ready for more. A traditional toy is also a great way to give your husband a show as part of foreplay.
Dual-action vibrators (also called rabbit vibrators) combine the best aspects of a traditional vibrator with a clitoral vibe. The different forms of stimulation can be controlled in all sorts of fun ways, leading to mind-blowing pleasure. The "rabbit" part of a rabbit vibe tends to be stronger stimulation than a traditional clitoral vibe. Dual-action vibrators often have more complicates controls for a wider variety of motions, which makes this a great choice if your husband is a gadget geek: he can make you explode and drive a gadget at the same time!
G-spot toys are shapes to reach your g-spot - the spot at the top of the vaginal canal which many women say is the source of great pleasure. If you're interested in finding your g-spot, or in finding new ways to get it going, consider a g-spot toy.
Prostate toys are men's toys designed to be used anally to stimulate the prostate, which is good for prostate health and great for sex! Smaller toys can be worn during intercourse, and larger toys are great for focused exploration. Many g-spot toys can also be used for the prostate, but please make sure to sterilize any toy used anally before using it in the vagina again. (See below for which materials can be sterilized.)
Anal plugs are small toys designed to be worn anally by either spouse, to stimulate the multitude of nerve endings in that area. They can be worn during sex, of course, and they can also be worn around the house or even out in public, for up to a few hours at a time.
What are the differences between the materials used to make sex toys?
How do I take care of my toy?
There's a wide variety of materials used to make sex toys, and the material helps determine how to use and care for the toy.
Sensuous Wife sells only a few jelly (also known as jelly rubber) toys. Jelly is inexpensive, but it is also very porous, which means that over time bacteria can work themselves into the material and resist being washed away. For this reason, jelly toys should ideally be replaced periodically, though that's not so important for married lovers. Oils may damage jelly over long-term use, so water- or silicone-based lubes are a better choice. Wash your jelly toys with soap and warm water, and store them separately: jelly toys that are stored touching each other can melt into each other, which destroys them.
Hard plastic toys are still somewhat porous, but much safer than jelly toys. You can use them with any lubricant. Wash them with soap and water and store them any way you like.
Medical-grade silicone rubber toys are awesome: they are long lasting and soft and can even be sterilized! Silicone warms up to body temperature with use, which is wonderful. Clean them with soap and water, and sterilize them by boiling, running them through the dishwasher, or with a bleach solution (read the manufacturer's instructions before cleaning, since in some cases the motor in the toy can be hurt by boiling or the dishwasher). Small tears in silicone can spread, so keep them away from sharp edges (and cats!). Silicone toys can be used with water-based lubes and with coconut oil (and other oil-based lubes, of course) but not with silicone-based lubes, which will melt them. They are also easy to store.
Metal and glass toys can be cleaned just like silicone, and they won't be damaged by any kind of lubricant. Actually, they're pretty hard to damage in general. The smooth surface means they don't need much lubricant, and they can be heated and cooled to create wonderful new sensations. (The glass toys are borosilicate glass - the same kind that Pyrex bakeware is made of - and very thick. They are very difficult to break.)
Wood toys can be washed with soap and water, or with an antibacterial cleaner like a bleach solution, then wiped down with a soft cloth. They can be used with any kind of lubricant, but protect them from getting knocked around, since hard impacts can damage them.
Vibrators may need some extra attention. If your toy uses batteries, it's best to remove the batteries before storage. If the toy has an electric cord, make sure the cord is untangled and any kinks are straightened before putting it away.
We're taking an airplane to our romantic vacation. Will airline security notice our toys?
Airline security personnel see adult toys all the time and probably won't even notice them. But it is wise to think ahead when traveling: store battery-powered toys with the batteries removed, and wrap electric toys so that they can't be turned on by shifting luggage. Make sure you bring plenty of batteries, and the correct electonic adapters if you are traveling to another country.
How do I take care of my Liberator shape?
The soft Microfiber cover on your Liberator shape is easy to take care of - just zip it off and chuck it in the washing machine with the cold-water wash. That means you can use all sorts of lubricants and foods and anything that catches your fancy on the Liberator shape, safe in the knowledge that it will wash right off.
The black nylon inner covering can be wiped clean with a damp sponge or cloth.
Liberator shapes can be stored anywhere. They come with a gig bag for storage to protect them from dust and dirt.
How do I care for my Liberator Throe?
The Throe can be put in the washing machine, on a delicate/cold water cycle, and tumble-dried on low heat. It stores like any other blanket.
